Paul's Sopwith Baby

Replica Marinens Flyvebaatfabrikk (Sopwith) Baby 2 seat landplane

I live on the east coast of South Africa near Port Alfred and have just taken over a Sopwith Baby build from a friend who passed away in 2020. The kit is a deluxe kit from Airdrom Aeroplanes with the welded fuselage. The fuselage is quite advanced, undercarriage is done, tail feathers are done, spars are done (including the carry throughs) and the ribs are bent. Fuel tank is also completed. There is a new (still in crate) Verner 7 (with all accessories) and matched prop also supplied by Verner. I am in the process of transferring the build number through our CAA.

I have decided to create a replica of Norwegian built Baby F104 as it was the first 2 seat Baby fitted from time to time with wheels, skis and floats.
