Engine Nose Bowl mod - Pt 2

I extended the cowl openings outward and upward about 1" in each direction and made posterboard templates of these openings to check for visual appeal.

My new measurements reveal I will now have 88 square inches of cooling air entering the engine compartment which is the minimum amount estimated for my IO-540 engine.

The next step is to make a mold of the interior area of the nose cowl using expanding foam. I will be able to use that mold to shape the new inlet areas in preperation for the fiberglass work to follow.
