Engine Air Filter - Pt 7
After building the plenum itself, I needed to create a way to retain the air filter in place. I chose to build a cover that was hinged at the bottom and when closed, will be retained by two screws (one on each side).
I installed the entire air intake housing assembly with sealant between the mating surfaces as it will be subjected to moisture and heat and the sealant will help reduce the possibility of corrosion.
I must say I really like the lower profile of the air filter housing as it sits below the engine cowling.
