Previously I had installed two NACA ducts for the purpose of providing air for cabin heat. However, throughout the entire project I have been working on finding a way to install air conditioning as well. I found a company called Speedy Air Spares which sells a combined unit (electric heat and electric a/c) and I've decided to install this system. As such, the NACA ducts are no longer needed and I will also be removing the muffler shrouds as they are no longer needed.

I removed the NACA ducts from the engine cowling and installed a filler and doubler in their place. The cowl ended up with a small flattened area but I'm afraid if I try to recontour things will get worse, so for now at least it will remain as it.
