Port Wing Gap Seals
Great clearance with gap seals but issues with flap/aileron clearance
Re-leveling the wing using a laser to ensure level along the wing and digital level for across the wing.
On the cut-outs for on the gap seals will leave on the part not interfering with the opening in the spar. This will solve the issue with the one rivet hole that would be cut out otherwise (plans do show that hole in the wrong location).
Mounted flaps and ailerons to check for clearance with gap seal. No issues. Plenty of clearance even with full flaps/ailerons. There is an issue with clearance between flap and aileron. They even touch in a point. I am told that's common and can be fixes with washers. Since the bottom skin is not on yet, the ribs are not locked in place yet and with them the hinge arms move. So I believe that - with the bottom skin in place - the problem is probably resolved as the wing is most certainly straight.
Gap seal itself came out beautiful with great match-up between the two pieces.
