Ongoing efforts at removing VS oil-canning
The ribs tabs and the front spar channel flange has been adjusted to try to remove oil-canning prevalent on the lower part of the skin. I have actually tried bending the rib tabs and flange very slightly (a few degrees) above the level - this appears to reduce the oil-canning however I suspect the problem is being made worse as I am actually pre-loading the "spring" in the other direction. Maybe the finish drilling procedure just before riveting will alleviate the problem. I am going to back off on the rib tab and flange bending, restoring them more to the level. I have found that full clecoing does help the oil-canning.
