Preparation of replacement elevator and rudder parts

Some replacement elevator and rudder parts arrived from TAF. These replace parts that were either previously damaged, bent to fit, or one of a possibly matching pair. In relation to bent parts, elevator ribs LH and RH rib 1 was bent to fit, elevator RH rib 2 and 3 also, as well as rudder gusset channel 2. On advice from TAF these were replaced, on the possibility that the re-bending weakened the part. Elevator RH rib 3 was in fact a spare supplied with the original kit.

These parts were deburred, edge-smoothed, etch-scrubbed and primed in the usual manner.
