Elevator gussets 3 remanufacture
The original EL-CHL-003-X-A- top and bottom flange holes were a pretty bad match for the skin holes. The right side could be more or less aligned into position, with considerable force. The left side could not be aligned with any reasonable amount of force. It was discovered that the hole patterns in the skins did not even match top and bottom. The skin revision numbers were both 0.
The hole mismatch, particularly on the left was too large to make upsizing to 4mm rivets practical.
It was decided to re-manufacture both left and right gussets, with match drilling of the top and bottom flange holes for a perfect fit. A couple of practice parts were made to get the bend positions perfect.
