Rivet Left and right wing ribs 2, 3, 4 and step on ribs 202, 203, 204
Wing ribs 2, 3, and 4 as well as step-on ribs 202, 203, and 204 were rivetted. All of this had to be done by hand due to clearance issues, and an angled rivet head was used to set the top rivet at the rear spar. Gesipa 4x13mm rivets (grip range 3.5-9.5mm) were used on the rear spar, as the usual 4x10mm rivets did not leave much of a tail despite the thickness (2.4+0.63+0.63+0.8 = 4.46mm falling within the grip range of the 4x10mm rivet type (0.5-6.5mm).
The skin jigs were attached when setting the rivets, to ensure optimal placement, although this measure was not required due to the accuracy-of-alignment of the upsized holes in the main-spar rib attachment brackets and the ribs.
