Torqueing of aileron and flap pushrods
The AN4 aileron and flap pushrods were torqued to 70 in-lbs (7.9 Nm), with normal 1/16" AN4 washers under the nut but not under the head.
The plans are similar for the torque tube, but I noticed that the fillet under the bolt head interfered with the hole edge, preventing it from bedding down on the torque tube bracket. So I added a thin (1/32") AN4 washer under the head which solved the problem, leaving the washer under the nut as per plans 1/16". There was still enough thread turns (1.75 turns) protruding from the end of the nut as per AC43.13 1B.
All mating surfaces between dissimilar metals (including the smooth bolt grips) were smeared lightly with Duralac Yellow. Threads were kept clean.
