Assemble fuel tank interiors
The fuel tank interior ribs were assembled, in two separate sessions of 3hrs (+1hrs each for cleanup). Each session consumed one tube of flameseal. The use of the gun dispenser is essential to maintain any sanity. The riveting was complete at roughly the 2 hour mark, which is the minimum pot life. Additional spreading of the sealant around the rivet tails for added sealing margin took about another hour, with quite acceptable sealant performance. A 4 hr pot life would be better.
The glue was spread as a thin layer over the flanges of each of the ribs, which were then inserted into the skin and clecoed. A perfect fit had been previously verified.
