Retrieve rivet tails from left wing tank

Despite planning, in the rush to minimise the the sealant pot time I managed to mount the rib 2 tank mounting bracket backwards. I spotted this right away and was able to drill out the 10 4mm sealed rivets and clean up. The bracket was correctly mounted while the sealant was still wet. Five of the rivet tails were ejected into the first section of the tank, easily accessible via the sender hole. The other five rivet tails however were ejected into the second section of the tank. The main access to this was via a 30mm hole, and small openings in the corners against the rear channel. Two rivet tails (covered with sealant and prone to sticking to any surface) were found retrieved while the sealant was still wet by use of a powerful magnet. The other three rivets could not be located. The sealant was permitted to set, and an borescope was obtained.

The three rivet tails were located and a custom tool was made to push them around, eventually breaking the sealant. The loose tails were then retrieved with a magnet.
