Configure fuel senders
The fuel sender float arms were shaped as described in the manual. In the right wing the sender unit is facing aft as shown in the manual. This means the empty fuel tank condition is associated with a low resistance. From the VDO sender instruction sheet, this is the intended arrangement. I have made the choice to place the right wing sender facing forward, such that an empty tank is also associated with a low resistance value. I could have made the left send sender facing aft as well (making an empty tank associated with a high resistance value) and make use of EFIS ability to calibrate for any configuration. The decider was my observation that the resolution (resistance changed vs angle) of the sender at the low resistance end is noticeably different than that at the high resistance end judging from the film resistor pattern within the sender unit. Despite calibration there would be a difference in the granularity of a few level measurement between the left and right wings.
Loctite 277 was used to further secure the small bolt holding the float arm.
