Attach fuel overflow tubes

The AN4 fittings were sprayed with 7471 activator, and left to dry. The flares were given very thin smear of EZ Lube, while the threads were coated with Loctite 577. The B-nuts were then torqued to 60 in-lbs, ensuring that the tubing had about 1mm or so of clearance with the end edge of the tank rear channel/rib 5 flange. Short lengths of 1/4" pvc tubing were then split and placed around the aluminium tubing, and held in place with Sikaflex PRO to ensure no contact of the tubing with the end-edge in the event of subsequent movement or impact.

The AN6 fittings were then closed and the tanks filled with 5L of car fuel (91 octane, no alcohol) and sloshed around. The flow of vaporising fuel though the breather holes could be clearly heard, a positive confirmation of correct operation. This tanks were then emptied by removing the drainage valves.
