Rear fuselage electrical wiring
Electrical cables laid into longerons of rear fuselage, along with the static port tubing. Details in the photos, but all the cables emerge from the lower and upper longerons, both left and right. All these cables have been chosen with enough excess length so as to reach all the way to the panel, eliminating the need for mid-fuselage connectorization. The only connectors in this part of the aircraft will be for the wing wiring, any connectors for the autopilot servos, the flap motor and ELT.
The cables are
Left upper longeron: tail strobe light shielded 4 core 18AWG tefzel, trim servo 5 core 22AWG tefzel
Left lower longeron: Dynon network cable (unshielded multicore tefzel), static port tube
Right upper longeron: RG400 coax cable for VHF com antenna, Dynon unshielded multicore for ADS-B IN receiver
Right lower longeron: RG400 coax cable for rear fuselage ELT antenna, 2 core 18AWG shielded tefzel for mid-rear fuselage camera supply
All the cables and static port tubing were sheathed in ICO-RALLY XPF-1/4 expanding tubing for added protection, with the exception of the ADS-B IN receiver which was a loose bundle of 22AWG tefzel wires - this was sheathed in ICO-RALLY XPF-1/8
These sheathed cables were additionally wrapped in Tesa 51036 tape where they were secured with cable ties or passed near metal edges, for added protection
