Test assembly of nosewheel strut

Bottom bushings. One of the AN3 bolts went though easily, a slight distortion on the left side in the photo, on one layer (visible here), prevented the other bolt from sliding through. I have found that clamping helps solve the problem - the conflict is a few thou at most. I have run a 3/16" reamer through the hole stack to clear away any excess paint.

Top bushings: Both AN3 bolts slide through easily

I might use nordlock washers instead here, and possibly loctite 277 on the threads. Another builder has found these bolts to seize on. I might use copper-slip on the threads in that case

Complete assembly: With all the bolts inserted the nose wheel tube can be rotated but with significant resistance. I will sand the bushings, using marker ink to determine the high points.
