Custom parachute rocket mount spacer

The parachute rocket mount is not a great fit

The firewall mounting holes needed to be recentered and upsized for 4.8mm rivets to reduce the amount of squeeze required to line the holes up

There is also a spacer of about 6mm required to fill the space between the flange visible here and the back plane of the upper firewall mounting channel. This spacer is achieved with two layers of 3.2mm sheet visible centre and upper right. The back plane, bridged by 0.4mm sheet of the parachute box is an insubstantial surface onto which the tails of the 4.8mm rivets, in turn needed to achieve any sort of line-up. Therefore a third backing plate also needed, lower left, made from 1mm sheet against which the 4.8x15mm rivet tails are to set.
