Alternative to supplied plastic Bosch filters

The Bosch plastic filters supplied in the Sling kit have no particular specification that I could find. In addition they are fitted with 5/16" barb couplings so they are incompatible with the 1/4" fuel hose that is used forward of the firewall where two of these filters are located.

I have decided to use metal filters made by Raceworks, three in all, instead of the four Bosch filters.

(Dec 2025) I finalised by using three of these filters, one between each wing tank and the fuel switch (mounted behind the spar carrythrough) and one more between the mechanical fuel pump and the FT60 fuel flow meter. The filter after the FT60 was omitted.
