Workbenches completed
Built some decent workbenches out of 50x50x5mm steel square tubing , some old redgum and KDH donated by a friend, with castors. Extremely heavy (KDH 150kg, Redgum 190kg) and will be useful well beyond any aircraft build. Flush with one end of each table has a "bonding" bar into which 1/2" rods can be inserted, or they can be tied together directly. If directly cascaded the total length is 4.5m length, long enough to hold a wing. If spacer rods are used, the total length may be made even greater. I am hoping the 1m width is sufficient for the wing and fuselage work. KDH table surface has warp of 3mm. Redgum table has surface warp <1mm due to improved build technique. Surface height is 900mm. Some build blogs have indicated 900mm is too high for the fuselage build, and 700mm is more comfortable. I will either remove the castors, or setup a platform to stand on.
