Measurements of primer thickness

Did some measurements of the EkoPrime thickness as sprayed for this section.

If a fog coat is followed by a single spray, about 15-20um

If a further coat applied, about 25-30um

Sometimes the surface is a little dusty if the spray was done too dry. This is improved by a light application of Vlies 320 pad. This takes off the slighly rough surface, about 3 um.

I want to get this thickness down for the next section, but not too much as the barrier effect of the primer will be reduced.

Measurements done with a micrometer

In most cases the zero point was just the nominal metal thickness - more rigorous before-and-after measurements to follow.
