10-10-21 A bad time

This nearly broke me

As a note, I write this 7/30/22, I nearly gave up on this aircraft. Why? When I started cleaning glue from the spars, I nicked one of the longerons. After hours of deliberation, I contacted the company to see what can be done to save it. Luckily I just need to fill the dip with glue and not worry about it. Also, one is supposed to clean up excess glue with a heat gun and scraper, not a spoke shave.

Good! Back to work! I then noticed what appeared to be up to 1mm think only glue joints. This isn't good. I looked up the gaps, it's within spec but I wasn't comfortable with a not perfect joint. I looked up.how much it was to rebuild the spar... I hung it up for a while. I then had a bad time at my job... working long hours and exhaustion. I then started a new job, and I am on the road quite a lot.

This is where that day ends. Upset from screwing up a part and with work being horrid, I stop working on the plane. The house gets some attention, but nothing on the plane front.
