Section 21 Fuel Sender Assembly

Verified the position of the Cies fuel senders and confirmed full range of float motion.

Installed sending units using provided rubber gasket. A light coating of proseal was applied to the root rib to ensure a seal over the flush AN426 rivets securing the nut plates.

Proseal was then applied to the mounting screws through the nearest inspection panel.

Mating surfaces between the fuel tank and access panels were scuffed with red scotchbrite and then cleaned. A bead of proseal was applied to the tank doubler and spread with a flattened tongue depressor. The access panel was then installed with specified hardware. This was repeated eight times.

Caps for the aileron pushrod tubes were designed and 3D printed.

Pushrod tube interiors were prepared for primer

One cap was installed on the end of a pushrod tube. Approximated 20 ml of SEM primer was then injected into the pushrod tube using a syringe. Another cap was installed and the pushrod was then continuously rotated and tipped back and forth to completely coat the interior. The caps were then removed and any excess primer was used in the next pushrod. Repeat four times.
