Section 21 Fuel Sender Assembly
Using AN fittings, plumbed a 0-5 psi gauge and Schrader valve.
Capped unused fuel tank fittings.
Plugged fuel sump with brass plug.
All NPT threads sealed with Loctite 567.
Adjusted fuel tank caps and lubed o-rings with Krytox grease.
Pressurized tank to 0.8 psi.
Applied Camco gas leak solution over every fitting, rivet, and seam. No bubbles noted.
Tanked leaked down over 24 hours.
Pressurized tank again and repeated Camco solution. No bubbles noted but tank leaked down again.
Switched fittings to the right tank and repeated process. Tanked again leaked down at approximately the same rate.
I am beginning to think that the gauge may be leaking. Next session, I will remove the gauge and try again.
