Solid rivets to left wing trailing edge, fitted rib 14 to left wing and test assembled part of the rear fuselage
Fitted AN470AD-4-3 solid rivets to the left wing trailing edge support area. Manufactured a rivet measuring tool from a piece of scrap aluminium. Squeezed by hand, which took a long time and a lot more effort than I expected - a lot of leverage is required for manual setting! Straightened the trailing edge gently with a hand seamer, the finished product looks good.
Previously cleaned off some of the primered area on rib 14 where it aligned with the Main Spar Reinforcing Angle and the last hole on the rib trailing edge and did the same on the shop head side of both WG-ANG-009-X-F-0 (Main Spar Reinforcing Angles). Then applied some round adhesive office labels over the rivet holes and touched up the primer. This left some neat round areas where the rivets will contact the surface of the parts, thereby allowing electrical conductivity for the static wicks I intend to install on the trailing edge of each wing tip.
Installed rib 14 on the left wing, then tested electrical conductivity between the exposed aluminium at the last hole of the trailing edge to various places along the wing and determined that it all was in order. I'll use an airbrush to apply a little primer over the rivet heads and surrounds to address the exposed aluminium, neaten it up and prevent corrosion.
Deburred and test assembled rear fuselage assembly 1 per the KAI.
