Re-re-laminate left wingtip and stripped fuselage rib 2
Sanded left wingtip trailing edge and discovered that the fibreglass bonding was unsuccessful. After re-reading the instructions, it became apparent that the mixing ratio on the bottle was by weight rather than by volume, so I had applied too little catalyst. Next time, read the full instructions!
Reperformed the bonding procedure after cleaning the joint thoroughly and grinding away some excess material. Mixed the resin according to the instructions and applied a little less cotton flock, then clamped in position. The extra griding was worth it since the alignment is actually better than it was before.
Applied excess flox mixture the left wingtip leading edge to build it up a bit for better alignment with the long range fuel tank leading edge.
Disassembled and applied paint stripper to fuselage rib 2. I was not happy with the initial primer coat and attempts to fix only the affected areas made matters worse, so I decided to start over.
