After measuring carefully, installed 2x M4 rivnuts in the canopy ceiling behind the pilot's light to accommodate a flush-mount USB power outlet and pulled some single-core shielded Tefzel wiring through the canopy conduit to power it. This covers the factory hole which is meant to be used for a dimmer (the lights I have selected have built-in dimmers so this is not necessary). To be secured with allen-head stainless steel M4 countersunk machine screws, around 12mm should do it.
