Learning TIG aluminum welding

First few passes on learning aluminum TIG welding

I’m starting to learn some aluminum welding on the TIG. I don’t really have any welding experience, but the fuel tanks are made from 5052-H32 aluminum that’s .050” thick. These little plates are 5052-H32 .040”, but I’ll practice on these as well as checking the welding position for the joints that are being used, so this is the start of practice. Tomorrow I plan on bringing this marked up aluminum sheet to a shop to cut up to form a small box to practice on.
