Fine Tuning the Ribs
Now that all the ribs have been formed they all need to be tuned up so to speak. The goal is to remove any warping or bending and to make sure the edge flanges meet the web at a 90 degree angle. So far i've worked through all but 5 of the noes ribs. Each one is taking on average about 5 min to straighten. I've been using a variation of the "Bob stick" to tuning up the lightning holes. For the edge flanges I made a tool pioneered by the Van's builders which works well! final tweeks are made with a pair of fluting pliers and a pair of lineman's pliers that i've taped up the jaws on.
