Here is the inside view of the latch. Very nice. We'll see how is works once the linkage is installed.
Still not perfect for me, so I have a few more adjustments to make.
Here's the handle after install. This was a far bigger project than I expected. I re-purposed the Vans brackets, if I were to do it again I would just fabricate new brackets.
Both cuts finished to this point, there will need to be a little extra filing. I filled the two rivet holes that are not used with a piece of glass on the backside and epoxy/flox. I inserted a rivet in the back hole that is not used.
No Turning back now, sure hope this goes smooth.
Since I had the QB Fuselage the standard Vans brackets were already installed. I used the template from JDAir to position the cut into the skin in the proper location.
