Interior paint, Cowl, Baggage Door, Dash, Personal Touch
May 12 & 13, 2022

Figured out what the issue was with the cowl not fitting properly - the bonding of the NACA duct in the lower cowl impacted the shape of it. Part of being the first - future kit builders won’t need to be concerned about this. New cowl is on its way.

When the airbox behind the dash was modified, moved aft, it covered up the middle two duct holes so that needs repaired. They have already fixed this on the next ones so wont be an issue for future builder

Although we had the interior painted previously, we made various modifications inside so had to touch up in some places

The baggage door wasn’t sitting flush enough by the hinge so I removed it, sanded down some of the composite we had build up to keep it from flopping onto the body and potentially damaging the paint, and then we heated and reshaped the end of the door.

soooo close!!! not completely flush but man o man it’s close.

between the dash and the center console there is a metal peice - mine will be painted the metallic orange from the outside and bear my signiture (it typically says “Sling”)

Great problem solvers on the case! (pondering the fix for getting the baggage door flush on the bottom)
