3D printer earning its keep today, making a drill guide for the brake mounting plate.

The 5-step process will be:

1) Place the blank plate on the centre stud for alignment.

2) Use the 3 mm holes through the guide to pilot-drill the plate.

3) Remove it from the guide and drill the holes to final size.

4a) Check the finished holes against the larger holes in the guide to see how much I missed by. Proceed to 5a.

4b) Congratulate myself on a job well done. Proceed to 5b.

5a) Briefly cry in the corner, then try again.

5b) Weld it to the tube.
