Top Done, Riveting Bottom

Finished the top of the stab, flipped it around in the cradles to access the bottom and dove right into the spar. So far I'm pleased with how all the rivets have come out. After reading some riveting threads on the VAF Forum I tried using a piece of packing tape over the factory head instead of the Scotch tape I'd been using. The Scotch tape did a nice job of reducing marks on the metal from the gun and reducing the guns tendency to walk but was it difficult to remove, usually shredding into multiple pieces. The packing tape was very effective at reducing marks and gun walking, was easy to apply and remove, and I could use a single piece of tape dozens of times. I also searched the threads for any tips at adjusting the gun and pressure to see if I could make life easier. Although various techniques are out there I'm going to stick to what's been working for me. I use 40 psi at the compressor regulator and have the inline airflow restrictor on the 3X gun adjusted to a setting that's comfortable, controllable and gives me predictable results.
