Fuselage Frames
Worked on the two large fuselage frames. Was hoping to get both completed but only got the forward one done. They were simple pieces, consisting of two halves that needed to be riveted together. But being good size pieces with a lot of edges and crannies, the deburring process took forever. I wish I could find a faster way to complete deburring and have multiple tools for it but in the end it comes down to patience and elbow grease. The riveting was more involved then expected. The whole frame is a large and flimsy piece that is riveted together with AN470-4 rivets, so securing it firmly was a must. I had to create a jig on the workbench to clamp it to that also allowed access with my squeezer. I wasn't happy with the first rivet and was able to drill it out uneventfully. The rest went in OK.
