Back In The Shop/ Rudder Cable Guides Riveted

After a lengthy hiatus with other commitments I finally made it back into the shop today. I spent the morning over at my buddy Dan's hanger helping him with the final assembly of his RV-14A. He chose to get it painted before flying and there's definitely advantages to that approach. It's time well spent for me helping him attach control services, prepping the engine for it's first run, and in general doing all the little things needed to prep for flight. I then was able to spend a few hours in my shop and got the nylon rudder cable guides riveted in. I was initially concerned with the rivet mandrels pulling all the way out leaving basically a tube but a little sleuthing on the VAF Forum showed it was a common issue. Van's Tech support says its OK since the parts are not load bearing. Moving forward with installing the static system tomorrow.
