Bellcrank Assembly/Pushrod Ends
More odds and ends today. Finished the bellcrank assembly by riveting on the nutplates then bolting it all together. Moved on to adjusting all the pushrod ends to spec then torqueing the jam nuts. This took some time as the specs were difficult to precisely measure solo because off rod end swiveling. The longest one was the toughest as the rod ends has to be 72 29/32" center to center. Getting the rod ends square with each other while torqueing the jam nuts took some finessing as well. The long one had 3/8-24 threads needing 100 in/lb of torque on the jam nuts. I had to use my vice with caution to prevent denting or crushing the tube. My bride came to the rescue and held everything while I got it all torqued properly.
