Scott's RV-14 Build

Roll Bar Structure

I painted my newly fabricated rudder cable links and got them re-installed and safetied. From there it was on to Section 37, Rollover Structure. As usual much time is spent deburring and removing tool marks on all the edges. I got the roll brace riveted up and then moved on to the forward roll bar assembly. That all went together uneventfully. It's nice when all the rivets are easily accessible with a squeezer. I'm debating on when to permanently install it all. Once its in my ability to access the rear baggage areas and the wiring, pitot system, flight controls, autopilot servos, etc in the aft fuselage will become much more difficult. At some point I'll have to when working on the canopy and rear windows. I'll also need to paint it the same color as the rest of the cockpit so I need to factor that in too.
