Canopy Fitting

I started the long process of installing the canopy to the canopy frame. I first got the garage heated to 82 degrees when it was in the 50s outside. Then trimmed the protective plastic away along the perimeter of the canopy just enough so only bare plexiglass touches the metal for a better fit. A buddy helped me move it into position on the canopy frame. Due to its large size, weight and fragility moving it on and off alone is risky and for now I prefer to use 2 people. However, this complicates the fitment progress as it'll need to go on and off multiple times as edge trimming progresses to check progress. And I don't always have help readily available. I'm going to try using the same technique I used on the rear glass. Sanding the edges down with a long sanding block and coarse grit paper. I used 60 grit last time but need to buy some 40 grit to speed up the process. It will take elbow grease but I feel that this is the least risky way to do it and offers the most control and ability to leave a straight edge.
