Tail Surfaces Back On For Good

I got all my tail surfaces remounted and the control linkages hooked up. I wasn't able to keep them installed in AZ due to size constraints in my garage. The fuselage was just too long with them on. Here it's no problem. Plus, it just looks more like a plane with them on. It's satisfying to move the stick and see the elevators move. I did run into one issue regarding the lower rudder fairing. There's no way to get it on with the tailwheel there. I'm not sure if that issue is unique to my plane or is a wider problem. Its not addressed in the plans. I'd assumed the fairing would be removable with the rudder installed and the plane on its gear to facilitate maintenance on the strobe light. Mounting the fairing to the rudder prior to hanging the rudder is problematic with the wiring that's back there. Another option is to support the aft fuselage, remove the tailwheel spring, mount the fairing then replace the tailwheel. I need to research it further.
