Day 57

Today we assembled and installed the cockpit heater unit. Half of the unit is disassembled to put in the vent system. After it is reassembled, we screwed on the brackets and installed the 4 m5 rivet nuts to hold them in place. The temperature control valve is installed and then the hoses are measured, cut and installed. Special care is taken that they are properly seated, and the clamps are tightened because it is nearly impossible to access them once the front top skin is installed. The heater is then mounted into the front of the plane, between the firewall and the instrument panel. The conduit will then be ran to the rear heat ports, defroster and the feet warmers.
