Day 11

We started our day with getting to go pick up new crates from Sling at the delivery depot! After hooking up the trailer to the truck, getting a four plug converter for the lights, and some tie down straps we were off to Post Falls ID. After locating the correct depot, (and waiting for a shift change…) using our top tier Tetris skills we were able to load all three crates into our trailer.

Upon arriving back at the shop, having carefully driven down the back roads, we backed up to the door and began unloading the lighter cargo as we awaited further reinforcements to arrive to help with the heavier of the crates.

After our successful unloading, and a quick tour of our progress, we were able to continue with the project of riveting the Horizontal Stabilizer. We were very pleased with the fluidity of the undertaking. Many of the holes needed to be cleaned with a drill and then debured for ease of placing rivets. But all in all a very smooth process after proper preparation. After approximately 4 hours and 608 rivets later our stabilizer was fully skinned.

A most successful and satisfying day.
