Day 30
Elevator End Cap & Fuselage Crate Inventory
Started the morning with a few quick errands. Needed more rubber gloves, aluminum back up washers, got a binder and clear sheets to organize papers, and threw out some trash that had accumulated.
When we got back, Cleco’ed the composite elevator end cap so that it could be fitted, drilled, countersunk, riveted with aluminum backup washers, and Cleco’ed back onto the elevator. This was as far as we’re able to go on it for now. We’re waiting on some tie wire to secure the hinge rod on the back of the left elevator skin. It is all Cleco’ed and ready to be riveted once those materials arrive.
This afternoon we started unboxing the fuselage crate. There are lots of little bags for the hardware. Was able to check them off of the packing list and organized them on our peg boards. We will continue the rest of the crate tomorrow.
