Day 191

Seat Belts & Canopy

Bouncing around a little bit. We spent quite a bit of time today working out the static port system. We were in contact with both Sling and Midwest working to get it sorted out. Pretty sure we have it straightened out now. We’re getting the necessary fittings to finish.

We also finished installing most of the seat belts. The front seatbelts tools some figuring out to get the uppers to have the correct spacing. There we’re spacers provided, but they did not bring the belt out far enough to allow free movement. With some modifications of the access hole and a few washers we were able to get them to fit very nicely.

The rear seatbelts went together well other than they were twisted and had to be manipulated to fit correctly across the chest.

All that is left are the latches in the front. These don’t get installed until after the center console has been permanently riveted in place.

We also worked on some wiring. We rerouted the rear USB powers sorce. For sOne reason it was underneath the rear seat. We brought it back up and installed it in the back of the center console. We even made a little cover plate for it because there was no way to make the upholstery look good once it’s cut for the hole.

We have also started on getting the cabin light system hooked up.

We have also done some more wiring for the dashboard as we get more fixtures installed.
