Day 209

Today we have been getting parts ready for paint. We mixed some spot putty and went around and filled in rivet heads on multiple parts that we have put rivets into that had not yet been filled.

We final did our final check and preparations for the canopy hatches and latch covers by making sure everything was sanded and scuffed. We then masked off the interior and exterior of the glasses. They are hanging in the paint booth ready for paint tomorrow.

Being that these parts will be painted solid red, we have also been preparing the top cowling as well as all the small parts that will also be red, so that we can paint them all at the same time. Most of the other parts will be two toned, and will require a little bit extra work.
