ALT Air duct

After purchasing the ALT air duct from Airflow Performance I realized the unit was designed for a setup where the incoming air was RAM air (unfiltered) and as such, it had the flapper valve placed in the tube coming in from the front of the aircraft.

As I had decided to use an air filter at the front, the velocity of the air was lowered to the point were I was concerned that with the current duct configuration, the engine could draw primarily from inside the cowling rather than the cooler outside air.

To solve the problem a friend helped make some bushings and I repositioned the flapper valve into the side tube where I can now shut off any air from inside the engine cowling until I actuate a lever to open it.
