About me
I am a private pilot in New Zealand who got into aviation at a young age. My family has a lot of ties to aviation, but my primary motivation is my father, who was a navigator on the English Electric Canberra in the South African Air Force.
I have just over 250 hours, mostly in Cessna 152 and 172 aircraft and have had my instrument rating for almost a year, with just over 70 hours instrument time.
Aircraft ownership has been a dream for a while, so I’ve been doing research for a long time. I’ve decided to build a Sling TSi because it ticks all the boxes for what I want out of an aircraft. When compared to the Cessna 172, the Sling is faster, more efficient and can carry more weight, while the modern Garmin avionics will provide a very reliable IFR platform.
