Flap and aileron rib tab and tip corner rounding
Corners snipped off then rounded with needle file, followed by buffing with cloth wheel and Tripoli compound. Temperature rise monitored and limited by brief contact. Interior notch edges deburred with wheel. This rounding is only done on curved parts of each rib, where the prospect exists of a tab corner pushing into a skin when the rivet is pulled, and inducing stress in the skin. This rounding is also done to tabs without rivets, at the tightly curved front of each rib, where there is a prospect of them being pushed into the skin.
