Wing rib 8 stiffening channel modification
The rib reinforcing channels WG-CHL-006-L(R)-A-0 have a possible conflict between one of its flanges and one of the inspection hole rivnuts. The manual states to bend this flange to create clearance. Preferring not to bend, and to localise the modification I elected to create a small step the flange by removing a small amunt of material. This was discussed with TAF and approved.
The manual states to bend the frontmost lower corner of the flange to ensure clearance with lower skin inspection hole rivnut and bolt. With approval TAF it was decided to create a notch instead in the corner of this flange. This provides clearance 15mm above the inner skin surface, which is ample given that the indicated bolt (now M4) is 8mm. A lateral clearance of 1.5mm with the outer edge of the stem of a M4 rivnut is also ensured.
The left hand WG-CHL-006-L-A-0 also did not have any rounding on the flange corners. This rounding was created to imitate WG-CHL-006-R-A-0.
The primer was then retouched.
