Add oil mist filter and dessicator to compressed air drying rig

A THB FR-FLM863 water filer - oil mist filter - dessicator was added to the output of the water stripper, with accessory connectors and shut-off tap. I may add an oiler for the rivet gun in parallel with this unit and mounted above on the same board. Right now I am sharing an air line with an in-line oilder right up at the rivet gun.

It remains to be seen if the action of this 3 stage unit - given that its first stage is a water stripper - would have been enough to remove all water without the need for the copper tube stripper. I'll test this on a really humid day. The 3rd stage is filled with blue dessicant beads.

The specs for the THB FR-FLM863 are

FILTER / REGULATOR SET & AIR CLEAN/DRYER

SPECIFICATION:

Part No.FLM863FM863LM863FR-FLM863 Description MediumAir Port Size (PT.NPT)3/8" Filter Element0.01μ5μ-0.01μ  Proof Service PressurePsi150250Mpa12.4 Max Flow (L/min)300 Operation Temperature Range5℃ ~ 60℃ Drain Capacity80 ml

FEATURES:

1. The Red Service Indicator will rise when filter element needs to be changed.

2. Desiccant beads change color from blue to pink when they need to be changed or reactivated.

3. 0.01μ filter element removes 99.9% of oil vapor particles.

4. Clear bowl with metal guards provides easy viewing for contents as well as providing impact protection.

5. Quick release bowl for easy maintenance

6. An additional filter after desiccant beads to insure clean downstream air.

FUNCTION:

1. Coalescing filter removes oil vapors, which can get past standard filters and water separators.

2. Desiccant dryer reduces humidity in compressed air lines, a MUST HAVE for paint spraying operations.

APPLICATION:

1. Paint Spray Gun (gravity, siphon, and pressure feed styles)

2. Air measuring instruments (requiring clean, dry air)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. It is recommended to install a standard air filter/water separator in front of the air cleaner / dryer to remove larger debris (>5μ) and condensed water.

2. It is also recommended to have a shutoff valve upstream of the air cleaner / dryer for easy depressurization for service.
