Close up left wing
The left wing top skins were riveted in place. I enjoyed the huge payoff of dealing with the spar rib mount flange tolerance error months ago. The skins lined up with the ribs with negligible forcing and only a handful of cases where 0.1 or so of misalignment of rib to skin holes needed to be reamed out. Oil canning is absent, except for a little bit of it around rib 8 where the skins join. As documented in another post the improved skin 3-4 connection went off without a hitch.
The only issue I ran into was some some forcing and cleaning needed to get the front flange holes of rib 3 to match the skin. When this was done I noted that rib 3 itself has a slight oil-canning mode. I may deal with this.
Also I had to clean typically 0.2mm misalignments between the rear part of the step on skin and ribs 201-204, where some forcing did not prove sufficient.

Levelling jigs

Before rivetting

Clamping root jig

Clamping tip jig

Around rib 8 various 4.8mm and 4mm rivets were used to meet varying grip requirements

Setting up skin 3-4 connection

Stainless steel rivets were coated with Duralac yellow

The stringers has quite a bit of hole drift, up to 1mm for one of them. This was spread around as much as possible, with the max 0.5mm mismatch at each end dealt with by chuck reaming and exploiting the capability of the tail of the 3.2mm rivet to expand considerably

Final result, but note early work in derivetting the rear channel connection. This is covered in another post.
