Custom landing gear facing reference jig
My plan is to face the landing gear mounting surfaces flat and orthogonal to the bolt tubes. This will eliminate the need for machining tapered packing shims.

First I manufactured plates from 3.2mm aluminium sheet to the dimensions provided by Sling for the shims

Obtained M10x200mm bolts. The hex heads are punched out so it was necessary to file off the slightly raised points at each of the six corners of the head

The bolts do bed down flat against the sheet, but just to be sure as the JB-Weld cured I fastened the plate on a horizontal surface and let gravity guarantee that the bolt was orthogonal to the plate.

Orthogonality verified

Two references, one for the LH and RH surface. They are swapped for the fore and aft surfaces of the landing gear
